Purpose
Statement
This curriculum will prepare students for entry into a field of professional
corrections by combining both academic and technical concepts.
These fields have a high demand
for well-trained and educated individuals who are committed to serve the
public. Upon completion of this program, students may apply their coursework
towards an Associate Degree Program.

Admissions
The student is responsible for completing the admission procedure for
Lamar State College - Orange by submitting:
- application for admission
to Lamar State College - Orange
- an OFFICIAL high school
transcript or GED Certificate
- OFFICIAL transcript(s) of
all college work completed at other colleges or universities
- a copy of driver's license,
and
- a copy of your Social Security
card
- must take the TASP test,
or approved alternative exam, or be exempt
