Liberal Arts (AS)
Associate of Science

Purpose Statement
This degree is recommended for students who plan to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in a field for which no specific associate degree is offered or for students who have collected hours in a variety of disciplines, perhaps by changing majors.

This is a recommended curriculum only. Some courses may be taken in different order, and students do not have to complete the degree in four semesters. Students in TASP remediation will require a different course sequences. All interested students should see the Liberal Arts Division Chair for a degree plan.

Admissions

Must fulfill all admission requirements to Lamar State College-Orange by submitting

  • application for admission to Lamar State College-Orange
  • an OFFICIAL high school transcript
  • OFFICIAL transcript(s) of all college work completed at other colleges or universities
  • a copy of driver’s license, and
  • a copy of your social security card
  • must take the TASP test, or approved alternative exam, or be exempt
