Information Technology Support Assistant (C)
Certificate
Purpose Statement
This certificate
is designed for those with little or minimal computer training. The
computer
core courses allow students to explore technology software, hardware
and telecommunications. Students planning to transfer to four-year programs
in computer science should follow the computer science associate of
science
degree program and those interested in four-year MIS programs should
follow the business associate of science degree program.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS - LAMAR
STATE COLLEGE-ORANGE
Submit to Lamar State College-Orange
- application for admission
to Lamar State College-Orange;
- an official high-school
transcript or GED certification;
- original transcripts of
all college work completed at other colleges or universities;
- a copy of driver's license;
and
- a copy of your Social Security
card

Information
Students must meet these requirements for graduation with a certificate
of completion:
- satisfy all admission requirements;
- complete an approved certificate
or institutional award plan;
- have at least a 2.00 grade
point average on all courses submitted on the certificate or institutional
award plan;
- attain no lower than a
"C" in each and every class in the major field of study; and
- have at least 60 percent
of semester credit hours in residence at Lamar State College-Orange.
NOTE: All technical certificate
programs are TASP exempt, except administrative assistant, medical
administrative
assistant, vocational nursing, and emergency medical services--paramedic.
