Salary $31,063 annually
 
Responsibilities Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:  prepares financial records, operating reports, trial balances, substantive financial statements, schedules, payments, general journals and related vouchers.  Researches reconciliation discrepancies and reports findings, checks accounting operations, reviews and audits completed financial records for accuracy and conformance.  Sets up and maintains accounting controls and records, keeps abreast of legislative changes, receives, deposits, allocates, and audits federal or special state funds or appropriations.  Performs related work as assigned.
 
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred or Associate’s degree in Accounting with two years accounting experience is required.  Knowledge of accounting principles required.  Working knowledge of state regulations and policies pertaining to public funds and government finance is preferred.  Must be proficient in Excel and MS Word.  Must comply with established Lamar State College – Orange policies and standards.
