Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes instructed by Paula Schnur-Tacker
This is an educational program for people with Type 2 diabetes. The primary goal is to help participants learn how to manage their blood glucose in the ranges recommended by the American Diabetes Association and how to manage their meal plans. The Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes curriculum provides the foundation for the program and ensures consistent, quality education across the state. Developed by health and nutrition education professionals, the curriculum is consistent with American Diabetes Association standards.

Investing for Beginners (60 minute presentation) (New)
This seminar is designed for new or beginning investors. Topics include types of investments (stocks, bonds, currencies, commodities and precious metals), investment strategies including assets allocation and use of trailing stops, how to evaluate stocks, managing your own portfolio versus using a financial advisor and selecting a broker. No personal financial advice will be provided including specific equity recommendations.

Hurricane Preparedness Seminar
What ingredients are necessary for a hurricane to form? Can humans stop hurricanes? Basic scientific information about hurricanes as well as the latest on hurricane research will be discussed. Audience members will learn how to better understand tropical forecasts and terminology. Successes and challenges of past, present and future hurricane forecasting methods will also be explored.
