Strong businesses require strong leaders at every level—that’s why First-Line Leadership was created–to teach practical leadership principles that inspire individuals to reach for higher levels of success.
Module 1: Leadership Components
One-day course which focuses on the importance of economics in the Gulf Coast area and how it ties into leadership. Topics include goals, time management and managing change.

Time: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Module 2: Communicating Effectively
Two-day course which explores the role of good communication and interpersonal relationships. Topics include listening skills, oral and written communication techniques, importance of documentation and meeting facilitation.
Dates: Wednesday & Thursday, March 7 & 8
Time: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Module 3: Traits of Leaders
One-day course which focuses on the importance of leadership in achieving long-term organizational success. Topics include qualities of good leaders, roles of leadership and personality types.

Module 4: Managing Conflict
Two-day course which focuses on identifying causes of organizational conflict and resolving the conflict. Topics include dealing with difficult people, conflict management styles and leading others through conflict.

Module 5: Dynamics of Decision Making
One-day course which explores the process of decision making. Topics include conquering your key moments and personal accountability and responsibility.

Module 6: Problem Solving
One-day course which teaches a structured and systematic approach to solving problems.
Date: Thursday, May 3
Time: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Module 7: Applications of Leadership
Two-day course focuses on leadership and teambuilding. Topics include teamwork and team development. Graduates of the First-Line Leadership Certification Program will make a short presentation on what they have learned and how it has benefited their organizations.
